On August 4th there were 3 Don Rico babies competing at a Gold Dressage show.
Dunbar was 2nd at Training Level with 70.0%, and 1st in his First Level test with 62%
Desiree was 1st in First Level with 69%, with Dasahi coming in right behind her with 68%.
Good job!
The mares and foals escaped a Friday morning in late June. This was captured on video. Go to YouTube to view - http://youtu.be/DILR55Fp6bUURL
She is special. Elegant, beautiful, strong movement. Two this year, and standing 16 hh at this time. Go to her page to view.
DASAHI was born in 2006, and this video was taped in April 2013. We tried to show a little of everything - walk, trot, canter, leg yield, shoulder-in, travers, lengthen, counter canter ... and yes! Dasahi loves to hack.
He is a wonderful horse with a big movement. He is a sweetheart in the stables, loves attention, does equally well in turn-out alone or with a group. He is healthy and sound. He received some wonderful training by Belinda Trussell, Canadian Olympian. He is a sensitive ride who always goes with a happy look on his face.
Since March 20, one grand-son, two colts and three fillies have been born. And two horse shows have been held at Centaur.
Genevieve, Rob and Matteo welcomed little Felix on MARCH 20.
March 22 saw the birth of Frangle's colt Django CRS. Django was a big colt, and it was a difficult birth, but within 30 minutes of hitting the ground Django had figured out how to stand and nurse!
April 30 - our first show of the season - TGIF #1.
May 3 - Wisteria had a black filly - another big one! Daurie CRS is named after her grand-sire Lauries Crusader. Daurie already shows a floaty trot...
May 7 - Foxie had a black filly. An easy birth , and another strong one. Named Susie Q.
May 9 - Allaire had a bay filly. We almost named this one Duracell - because after getting up the first time, she just wouldn't lay down again. She just kept going... But instead she has been named Doublaire because she is the double of her dam.
May 12 - We held a Gold Dressage Show at Centaur. Two of our babies competed with Danika riding. They both won their classes. Dunbar, at his first show, was a pro. Despite a wrong lead in his test(something new!), which influenced 2 marks, he still ended up with 67.9%. The judge gave him 7.5 for paces. Dark Velvet went Second Level earning 66.91% Both horses did beautiful tests.
May 13 - Daxl CRS was born. A black colt for DeLovely. Strong and healthy like all the others. Daxl is his interim name - named after Axl Rose of Guns n'Roses.
D'Claire is now going walk, trot and canter in beautful rhythm. With her pedigree and natural jumping ability, hopefully D'Claire will find a partner to bring her along in the world of show jumping. But after seeing her move under saddle, a career in the dressage world is not out of the question! See the short video clip of D'Claire under saddle on her page.
Check out the new heights that D'Claire has reached - literally!!
And an even huger discount if bought in utero. (If foal is not carried to term, or if there are birthing complications, it will be replaced it with another.)
Call for prices...
Look under 2013 Foals in this website to see who the expected foals are.

Also check out the FAcebook Centaur Breeding Farm page - I have posted really cool canter sequences of total harmony between dam and foal...
* Beautiful foals were born - all healthy...
* Desiree did her first show at Palgrave and was a star. She got rave reviews from the judges, and went like a pro, earning Reserve champion.
* Dark Velvet had a great year in the show ring. At Palgrave's first day she obtained the highest score of the day of any horse from any ring. Well Done!
* Dasahi is back home - and is a total joy to have around. He going just super under saddle.
* Many of our horses found loving homes - Rosweeta is in Alberta, Donell in South Carolina, D'Thriller and Desmond in Collingwood, Orielle in Pakenham, Darby Hall in Niagara, Dali and Dhornado in Winchester, Spider in Oxford Mills
* Donatella has gone to South Carolina to be sold. She is being trained out of a hunter/jumper barn who took her to an event already, but she really moves so beautifully for the dressage ring. A versatile horse! Read about her eventiong success in the link.
New pictures have been posted for Donatella and Desiree
First show out for Dark Velvet and Danika and they earned a 70.83% in their First Level test. Velvet is a daughter of Centaur stallion Don Rico.
Orielle's colt, DONRIELLO, was born on the evening of May 14th. Orielle graciously waited until the day after the Gold show, fully aware that her stall had been rented out, and that no one had any time to look after her and baby during a busy show... Thank you Orielle!
Busy busy... Wisteria was first at 12:57 (a.m. of couise) The Allie at 3:43, and Lucy at 3:46. All are well - 2 colts and one filly.
Foxy had a black colt on Monday April 23 2012.
The first foal of 2012 D'Shyda was born at around 10:00 pm on Friday April 20, 2012. A second foal for DeLovely.
Gagné International is where Donell is being kept for training/selling.
Wisteria has a new video! Wisteria is a super-well bred Hanoverian mare. She was granted premium status by the CSHA upon her licensing inspection. Her sire is the Celle stallion WELTRUHM who is a son of the famous Weltmeyer. Her dam's sire is Lauries Crusador.
Wisteria is expecting her first foal - due date of May 5th.
Check out her page for the video.
Centaur Breeding Farm is offering the opportunity to purchase a foal in utero. Sire is the beautiful black Hanoverian Don Rico, and the dam is the gorgeous grey mare Wisteria. Some names in this foals lineage include - Donnerhall, Weltmeyer, Don Frederico, Hohenstein, Caprimond, Lauries Crusador, Weltruhm. How much better does that get?
Foal is due May 5 2012....
Both D'Thriller and Desmond have found new homes with two sisters from Collingwood Ontario. Desmond is Natasha's project while D'Thriller is Zoe's new horse. We wish all the success and best of luck to the lucky young ladies...
The talented Rosie has found her human! Congratulations to Melissa on the purchase of Rosweeta. Rosweeta is the daughter of the Celle Stallion Rotspon, and Desiree, a Don Rico daughter. Rosie is an extravagant mover with a sweet personality. We wish the best of luck to Melissa...
Donell went to his first American show in South Carolina and won all his classes. He was Champion in 3' Hunters. Check out his new video on his page.
Mythical has been retired. The Eggleton family - Bill, Sue and Dawn - have taken her in, and given her a good home.
Mythical is the dam of Fire's Girl (Lucy), Dark Velvet, Desiree and Deskaheh. She is also the Grand-dam of D'Sheera, Donnerberg and Diamanda.
