Named D'Amour, 'Of Love' in French, for many reasons - born the day before Valentine's Day, but mostly because she wasn't really supposed to be. Her dam Ruby was turned out with the stallion Don Rico (Don Frederico x Hohenstein) for less than 12 hours. During this time we discussed and decided to stop our horse breeding business. After that decision, we quickly went to the field to get Ruby back out. No one saw anything happen, we didn't even think that Ruby was in heat.... But.... our love foal D'Amour came along.

Her barn name is Chillie because she was born on the coldest night of the year - -40!!!. Chillie has siblings competing in the hunter and jumper rings, as well as some pretty fancy dressage siblings. We are very happy she came along.
