By Donnerhall, Dam Sire Akzent II/Wiesembaum/Ferdinand. His sire is probably the most successful Dressage Stallion in the world. De Niro came second in his Performance Test with a score of 141.93. He was top in Dressage and was one of the best jumping stallions. He competed successfully at Grand Prix dressage at 7 years old.


As a 9yr old he had 19 licensed sons. His foals have topped the Elite Hanoverian Foals Auctions - a 2 1/2 yr old son sold for 530,000 DM at the stallion licensing auction while 6 of his progeny have sold as young riding horses at sales for between 100,000 and 430,000 DM. His progeny are showing huge promise as dressage horses.

1997: Vice-champion at the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf being rideability champion with an index of 145.41 points and a total index of 141.93 points .


2000: In the age of 7 years he already was successful in Grand-Prix tests.


2001: Champion at the German Championship for Professional Rider with Dolf-Dietram Keller


2002: Winner of international Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special tests in Saumur and Berlin.


2003: Winner of the German Dressage Derby in Hamburg.


2004: In addition to two vice-champion stallions De Niro also presented the champion stallion at the stallion licensing in Verden, named Dancier.


2005 In Verden De Niro (dam sire) presented the top-priced (800,000 Euro) stallion champion


Meanwhile De Niro has already got more than 50 approved sons. His offspring is highly popular all over the world reaching top prices at all auctions. At the German Young Horses’ Championship in 2005 his offspring was highly successful. His son Daily Pleasure ( dam from Ehrenmarsch) became predominantly German Champion of the 4 year old dressage horses.


De Niro, 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, is referred to as "the embodiment of the Hanoverian stallion." De Niro is an exceptional stallion of superlative type and performance. He is a wonderful combination of the best bloodlines of Oldenburg and Trakehnen, with a dash of Thoroughbred, insuring his success as a sire of noble riding horses. He created a sensation at his inspection, and from his first foal crop in 1999, three stud colts were approved for stallions. In 2000, seven stud colts were approved. Since reaching the auctions, De Niro's foals have fetched top prices everywhere they appear. A new record of DM 140,000 was reached for a weanling stud colt at a Klosterhof Medingen auction in 2000. His son De Facto brought 279,985 Euros at Verden in 2001. A three-year-old colt, Figaro, reached a record price of DM 151,000 at Vechta. De Niro's daughters are also excelling--he had the Vice-champion mare in Oldenburg in 2000 and the champion mare and two additional mares at the diamond ring (Diamantring). His riding horses are excellent, and he produced a federal vice-champion, a state champion and several conformation winners. De Niro has 22 approved sons and 99 States Premium Mares. His first foal crop in the Oldenburg region received an overall “9” in 1997. He received the title “Hauptpraemiensieger” Main Premium Champion that year. By age seven De Niro was competing and winning at Grand Prix. De Niro's performance record in 2000 was sensational. Besides winning in Prix St. Georges and Intermediare II, he won his first Grand Prix at the first run, and was honored at the German Professional Riders Championship as the best up-and coming Grand Prix horse. In 2001 he won a number of Grand Prix' and Grand Prix Specials. Dancier ( De Niro x Lancier x Espri) was the 2004 Stallion Licensing Champion in Verden. The following year Dancier won the Buchard-Muller Prize by a margin of 20 points and scored an 8.6 earning 158.46 points for dressage! At the 2005 Bundeschampionat, De Niro offspring Daily Pleasure and Da Vinci were Champion and Reserve Champion Five Year Old Riding horses (mares and geldings). Also in 2005 at the Rastede Mare Show his daughter Dark Rose place second in the brilliant ring, and was the highest scoring mare Performance Tested that year. In 2007 his son Denaro won the Bundeschampionat qualifier at Riesenbeck scoring an overall 8.2. De Niro has proven himself through his performance in the show ring and through his offspring’s exceptional achievements.
